Born and raised in western Massachusetts, Billy moved to New York City in 2002 and recorded his first EP, a self-titled collection of 5 songs. With this album, Billy began gigging primarily around New York City and Connecticut, opening for artists such as Dave Matthews collaborator Tim Reynolds and Pure Prairie League, in addition to local NYC bands like Liam Goodwin and the Ramble and Mike Krum.

December 2007 marked the released of Billy's debut album, The Joker's Hand. This 11-track album spans genres from pop to rock and country to digital, highlighting his appreciation for numerous types of music. The Joker's Hand is available for purchase on iTunes.

While the album is fully produced, Billy's shows remain high-energy, solo acoustic or power-trio endeavors focused on audience interaction, storytelling, a few laughs, and occasional beatboxing, drawing fans from the tri-state area and New England.
